Working alongside intermediate and senior staff, you will be responsible for undertaking geotechnical projects from investigation stage through to construction. Projects are variable but will generally include geotechnical investigations, geotechnical analysis/design, reporting and construction supervision.
The ideal applicant will have:
Bachelor of Engineering degree or Masters degree in Engineering Geology with ideally 3 to 10 year’s relevant experience in geotechnical consulting. Applicants with more than 2 year’s experience will also be considered provided they can demonstrate that they meet the requirements below.
A strong understanding of engineering geology and/or geotechnical principles and soil and rock mechanics
Land development experience in both commercial and residential sectors
Working knowledge of relevant New Zealand design standards
Ability to work autonomously and produce quality reports and designs
Ability to manage own projects under the supervision of senior staff
High level of spoken and written literacy
Geotechnical modelling experience using SlopeW/Wallap or similar software preferable
Experience in programming and supervision of geotechnical investigations and natural hazard identification
Construction and earthworks supervision experience
