Pavement Deflection Testing - Light Weight Deflectometer (LWD)

GeoSolve offers pavement deflection testing using the light weight deflectometer, this is a smaller, more portable version of the Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD). The LWD is used worldwide for testing the subgrade and subbase layer during construction of new pavement and site investigations of existing pavement.

The LWD uses the same load cells and geophones as an FWD. Applying loads from 0-15kN makes the LWD an ideal tool for testing subbase and subgrade materials to determine both the modulus and compaction. Layer moduli are viewed in real time and reports can be viewed on site.
