DRAINAGE & CULVERT DESIGN

We provide hydrological inputs to define design flows for drainage channels, overland flow paths, culverts or bridges. We can also provide full design for overland flow paths, channels and culverts, or hydraulic inputs for bridge designers. Some of the services we offer:

• Assessment of catchment hydrology to inform potential flood flows using NZ flood estimation resources appropriate to the catchment type and modelling tools where required

• Culvert selection and sizing to suit anticipated flows & site. Hydraulic capacity calculations and modelling using HY-8 or HEC-RAS where required

• Assessment and design of secondary flow paths to avoid damage in the event of blockage or flows exceeding the capacity of the culvert

• Assessment & design to ensure fish passage requirements are met
