JAMES STEWART


Engineering Geologist

BSc (Geology), PGDip (Geology)

James is an Otago trained geologist with 8 years’ experience working as an engineering geologist across Otago, Southland, Fiordland, and the West Coast. There he has been involved with geotechnical fieldwork for residential, commercial and infrastructure projects including small scale building and subdivision developments, water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, pipelines, irrigation dams, quarries, and alluvial goldmines. He has experience in construction related geotechnical investigation and assessment including geological ground modelling, liquefaction assessment, slope stability analysis, groundwater modelling and geological hazard assessment with extensive local knowledge of the geological conditions in Central Otago. James also has particular expertise in alluvial mineral exploration, mining and resource based geology having gained experience in Western Australia, Central Asia and Otago/Southland. James is based in our Cromwell Office.
