VICTORIA HOTEL EXTENSION

This project involved a new three storey extension to a four star hotel which included 30 rooms, a gymnasium and skywalk.

GeoSolve provided a comprehensive geotechnical, investigation, analysis, and foundation design service for the project.

After evaluating a range of potential options, we designed a jet grout/micropile design and collaborated with specialist contractors to verify installed pile capacities in challenging ground conditions. This approach resulted in a robust foundation at less cost than more convention piling techniques.

Key Project Challenges

  • Variable soft and potentially liquefiable soil

  • Minimal working room with adjacent structures
